Out of Office…in Desert!

For the 22nd year running, from 30 March – 6 April, the UAE saw a number of International and local rally drivers head out from the Yas Marina Circuit to the beautiful Empty Quarter in the Liwa desert for the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.

Over 120 competitors took part, on bikes, in cars and in buggies – in a true test of human endurance and the machines’ capabilities.

The Performance Communications team took to the desert with a number of international and local media, to spend a week in a Bivouac camp following the competitors’ crossing of 2000 kilometers of gruelling and unforgiving desert, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees.

Media coverage was extensive, with the event covered both as a race and many individual stories of participants’ personal battles with the desert.
