Oryx Racing and UAE National driver, Humaid Al Masaood

Oryx Racing may have failed to finish the final race of the season, the Petit Le Mans in Georgia, but any disappointment soon gave way to pride at what has been an astonishing debut season in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) for the UAE-based team.

Emirati driver, Humaid Al Masaood and his team can look back on a superb maiden season, which saw them guide their Mazda Lola Coupé to four podium finishes in seven races. Third places at the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix, Mosport Grand Prix and ALMS Monterey were capped by a stunning victory at the Baltimore Grand Prix.

The subsequent publicity created by teams exploits many thousands of kilometers from home, has made Oryx Racing and Humaid Al Masaood household names amongst sport fans in the UAE.
